WTRD is a Charity focused league comprised of strong-minded women who love the sport and are determined to see it take permanent hold in Lubbock. The league is a Do-It-Yourself (DIY), skater owned and operated league that formed in September, 2007 whose mission is to deliver a strong and positive image to the South Plains community. Nothing is staged or scripted. WTRD’s skater-athletes are simultaneously working hard and having fun! The result will be refreshingly honest and genuine entertainment.

WTRD sponsors are handpicked by the league’s governing body, and we strive to select companies like yours – companies that fit the image of positivity, athleticism and grass-roots community involvement. We know that a partnership between our company and yours will provide mutual benefit and advertising opportunity to a similar target demographic.

All WTRD sponsors will be in select company when featured at bouts, on the web or in print. We welcome in-kind/trade opportunities to defray league expenses and enjoy partnering with other small businesses.

WTRD-hosted events will be fun, well promoted, and very well organized. Skaters will share the spotlight with our favorite charities by donating a portion of bout proceeds, assisting with awareness campaigns, and participating in fundraisers. Our fans include a cross section of males and females in the Lubbock and South Plains area. Ages range from 1-100, and include children, families, professionals, college students, and more.

Although each skater pays monthly dues to participate, WTRD still relies heavily on sponsorships from companies like yours to provide affordable entertainment to the people of Lubbock.

As the first and only flat track roller derby league in Lubbock, West Texas Roller Dollz are posed to make a positive and large impact on the South Plains community. Roller derby is one of the fastest growing extreme sports in the United States, with over 260 leagues currently in operation nationwide, and bouts selling out consistently throughout the SOUTHWEST. The Rose City Rollers, from Portland Oregon have a similar population and typically see 3500 plus fans at their events. As a sponsor you will be privy to growing right along side of this newly forming league.
