West Texas Roller Dollz Looking for a Volunteer Coach
January 27th, 2012 by West Texas Roller DollzThe West Texas Roller Dollz are offering a unique opportunity to get involved in roller derby. We are looking for a person who is interested in becoming a dedicated roller derby coach. The coach is needed for our league practices and All-Star Team. Prior experience in roller derby is not necessary, however the passion to learn the game and strategy are a must. Any prior coaching experience with other sports is a plus.
Candidates should be expected to:
1. Be dedicated to coaching practices 1 – 2 evenings per week. Practices are two hours long.
2. Learn current strategies/game play and bring new strategies/game play to us.
3. Be available to travel to away games a couple of times a year.
By joining our league, you will be engulfed into a world of camaraderie, sportsmanship, and excitement. Coaching derby, like any sport, can be a challenge, but it is extremely rewarding and lots of fun, too.
This is strictly a VOLUNTEER position and there is no monetary compensation. This is for the individual who is looking for something new and exciting in their life.
