WTRD is back! Practices have resumed and we are looking for some volunteers, specifically, N.S.O.s (Non-Skating Officials). N.S.O.s are vital to the smooth operation of any bout. N.S.O.s are given specific duties and are allowed into our bouts for free! There are currently four positions available within our league:
1. Scorekeepers: The scorekeeper records the points reported by the jammer refs and keeps the official score.
2. Penalty Trackers: The penalty tracker records the penalties reported by refs and keeps track of the official penalty tally.
3. Penalty Timing Officials: A game will have at least two officials to oversee the penalty box. These N.S.O.s time penalties and assist refs in assuring a team skates short when they ought.
4. Jam Timer: Jam timer is responsible for starting jams and for timing 30 seconds between jams. This N.S.O. is also responsible for ending jams that run the full two minutes.
